1 Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation
;American Academy of Pediatrics Staff; Bloom, Ronald S., MD; Cropley, Catherine, RN, MN Elk Grove Village, Illinois, U.S.A. Amer Academy of Pediatrics 1990 0874936055 / 9780874936056 Soft cover Very Good Book 4to - over 9" - 12" tall
; Spiral-bound; Each section has its own pagination; Oversize/heavy book and Working copy; Black & white illustrations; Textblock is tight with marginalia, light amount of highlighting and marking with tape at the beginning of chapters; Cream and blue cover with former owners name written to the front cover; The cover has some rubbing, wear to edges and light marks/wear, mostly to the back cover; . (This 'Neonatal Resuscitation' course was the result of the combined efforts of the Working Group on Pediatric Resuscitation and the National Task Force on Neonatal Resuscitation of the Section on Perinatal Pediatrics of AAP and its goal was to provide the materials and training necessary for health professionals in neonatal resuscitation according to AHA-AAP guidelines. At the time of printing, it was recorded in the United States that there was approximately 5,000 hospitals with delivery services in which about 3.7 million babies are born each years with resuscitation required for about 80% of the 30,000 babies with birth weights less than 1500 grams and for an unspecified additional number of those weighing more than1500 grams at birth. Every newborn has a right to a resuscitation performed at a high level of competence and the proper equipment must be immediately available in the delivery room. Also, health care professionals must be skilled in resuscitating and be capable of working smoothly as a team, so this is the reason why this textbook is made available. As you go through this program, you'll gain knowledge and skills in this vital area. Lesson 1: Introduction to the Program. Lesson 2: Initial Steps in Resuscitation Thermal Management, Positioning, Suctioning, and Tactile Stimulation. Lesson 3: Use of a Resuscitation Bag and Mask. Lesson 4: Chest Compressions. Lesson 5: Endotracheal Intubation. Lesson 6: Medications.)
